Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is reported to be planning the appointment of former parliament speaker Alen Simonyan as Secretary of the Security Council. According to circulating reports, Simonyan will replace Armen Grigoryan, who currently holds the position.
It should be noted that Alen Simonyan recently revealed his plans for the period following the parliamentary elections to be held in 2026. He stated that he would not be part of the new National Assembly and would not take up his parliamentary mandate.
