A Russian drone strike reportedly targeted the locomotive of a passenger train operating on the Odesa-Dnipro route in Ukraine.
According to Ukrainian Railways, the attack was carried out using a jet-powered drone. Casualties were reported among the train crew members as a result of the incident.
There were 340 passengers on board at the time of the attack. Passengers and other crew members were safely evacuated, with no fatalities or injuries reported among the passengers.
Ukrainian railway infrastructure has been repeatedly targeted by drone attacks in recent months. For instance, on July 24, a drone hit the locomotive of a passenger train in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where the train crew and passengers had been evacuated prior to the strike.
