People's Artist, prominent theater and film actor, and director Tofiq Mirzayev has been buried in the city of Arad, Israel, where he spent his final years.
This was reported by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora. It was noted that representatives of the Azerbaijani community living in Israel and the artist's son attended the funeral ceremony.
Speaking at the farewell ceremony, Yegana Salman, Vice President of the AzIz Israel-Azerbaijan International Association and head of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Israel, expressed deep condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased on behalf of the Azerbaijani community.
She spoke about Tofiq Mirzayev's invaluable contributions to the development of Azerbaijani culture, his enduring connection to Azerbaijan despite living far from his homeland, and his contributions to diaspora activities.
It was emphasized at the ceremony that Tofiq Mirzayev's contributions to the development of Azerbaijani culture and diaspora activities will always be remembered with gratitude, and his cherished memory will live on in the hearts of the Azerbaijani community with deep respect and reverence.
