President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed decrees approving several intergovernmental documents concluded with Turkmenistan. These agreements are aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Specifically, the "Agreement on Main Directions for the Development and Deepening of Economic Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Turkmenistan" was approved.
In addition, official Baku approved a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the sphere of defense, as well as agreements on interaction in the fields of energy and food security.
Additionally, a protocol between the customs committees of the two states concerning cooperation in mutual trade customs statistics was finalized.
