Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israeli forces control the territory in the Gaza Strip and that operations will continue until Hamas is disarmed.

Jnews.az reports that Netanyahu noted during his speech that he was in Gaza, adding that he did not accept former Chief of General Staff Gadi Eisenkot's position regarding withdrawing from the territory.

“I am here, in the Gaza Strip. Eisenkot wanted us to surrender and leave here. It is a good thing I did not listen to him. Today we control the territory and remain on this line. We still have work to complete and we will finish it – until Hamas is disarmed and Gaza is demilitarized. Gaza will no longer pose a threat,” Netanyahu said.
