A senior Hamas member has been detained in the Gaza Strip. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz provided information about this.
Jnews.az reports that Katz stated the response to Hamas rocket attacks against Israel will be harsh.
“We do not wait for a threat; we pursue Hamas terrorists, neutralize them, and destroy the terror infrastructure. The response to every rocket launch from Gaza will be strong and clear,” the Defense Minister emphasized.
According to Israeli media, the detained individual is the head of Hamas's General Security Service in the Gaza Strip.

The minister's statement came after reports that an armed group cooperating with Israel attempted to capture a senior Hamas representative in the Gaza City area.
Later, the Israeli army's press service announced that strikes were carried out on a number of targets in the Gaza Strip in order to eliminate the threat.
