The Russian Armed Forces launched another massive aerial attack on Ukraine overnight on July 22. During the assault, 4 missiles and 216 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were fired at the country's territory.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, air defense forces destroyed or neutralized 3 Kh-59/69 guided aviation missiles and 204 UAVs using electronic warfare equipment.
However, it was not possible to intercept all targets. According to the report, 1 Iskander-M ballistic missile and 12 drones hit various areas. In addition, debris from downed missiles and drones fell in 7 other locations, causing damage.
In the Bucha district of the Kyiv region, 5 civilians, including 3 children, were injured as a result of the attack.
In the Odesa region, one of the drones hit a residential building, resulting in the death of one woman.
In another settlement in the region, the roof of a private house collapsed after drone debris fell on it. No injuries were reported in that incident.
The attack also damaged a warehouse storing tobacco products and a main gas pipeline. A fire broke out in the area due to a breach in the gas pipeline. Emergency service personnel are currently working to extinguish the fire.
