Israeli citizens have become victims of attacks in two foreign countries — Montenegro and Mongolia. During the incidents, the attackers used bladed weapons and axes, and shouted hostile anti-Israel and Nazi slogans. The victims required emergency evacuation to their home country under the supervision of diplomats.
Incident at a resort in Montenegro
At the Budva resort in Montenegro, residents of the Israeli city of Sderot were injured in a group assault. The conflict began on a public beach, where the young men were interacting with local women. As reported by mako, four aggressive Europeans, upon hearing from the tourists about their Israeli citizenship, began shouting anti-Israel slogans, after which they brought in reinforcements of ten people.
As a result of the ten-minute brawl, the injured Israelis sustained severe injuries, including the loss of teeth and a broken jaw. One of the tourists had to be urgently evacuated to Israel for surgery. Montenegrin police officers present in a nearby alley ignored the bloodied state of the tourists, limiting their response to a reprimand for disturbing the peace at night. It is noted that this incident has become a precedent for Montenegro, which was previously considered a safe destination for Israeli travelers.
Armed attack in Mongolia
In parallel, the walla publication reported on an armed attack against six Israelis traveling in motorhomes through Mongolia. At the campsite, a group of aggressors of Kazakh origin attacked the tourists using bladed weapons and axes while shouting Nazi greetings.
One of the vacationers sustained comminuted fractures of the facial bones and jaw. Israeli authorities intervened to rescue their citizens in Central Asia. The victim was transported to Israel under the supervision of diplomats from the embassy in China, and the diplomatic mission helped the other tourists leave the country promptly.
