President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev accepted the credentials of the newly appointed ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Kingdom of Cambodia, and the Sultanate of Oman to Azerbaijan on July 17.
During the official meetings, the head of state discussed with the foreign diplomats the prospects for developing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in various spheres.
Meeting with Ambassador of Brazil Bernardo Georges Leopold de Garcia Klingl
The parties paid special attention to the development of ties between Azerbaijan and Brazil. The newly appointed Ambassador of Brazil, Bernardo Georges Leopold de Garcia Klingl, presented his credentials to the head of state, after which the President held a conversation with him.
Ilham Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral relations. The President emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the political, trade-economic, and investment spheres, as well as in the field of tourism. Furthermore, the head of state noted the need to increase the intensity of contacts at various levels and wished the diplomat success in his activities for the benefit of strengthening ties between the countries.
Ambassador Bernardo Georges Leopold de Garcia Klingl stated that it is a great honor for him to work in Azerbaijan. He highly appreciated the current level of diplomatic interaction and emphasized the successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Brazil within the framework of COP. The Brazilian diplomat expressed his readiness to contribute to the expansion of bilateral relations.
The meeting also noted the successful interaction between the two countries within the framework of international organizations and underscored the mutual support for multilateral diplomacy.
