In Azerbaijan, goods sold in markets without labels will be subject to mandatory labeling. This was announced by Ali Nabiyev, Deputy Chairman of the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan (AQTA), at a press conference dedicated to the agency's performance results over the past six months.
According to him, AQTA will carry out the labeling at the expense of state funds. The process has already begun at the capital's "Teze Bazar" market and will soon be expanded to other markets.
Nabiyev added that after Baku, the mandatory labeling program will gradually cover the country's regional markets as well.
