A special control post related to anthrax has been set up in Alıushagi village of Azerbaijan’s Samux district.
Vehicle traffic remains fully open. The post mainly controls the transportation of meat and dairy products from the village territory.
Employees of the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan and the veterinary service operate here. Vehicles leaving the village are disinfected. In addition, disinfection barriers have been created in large farms in the village.
It should be noted that on August 13, 11 people suspected of anthrax infection were admitted to the Infectious Diseases Department of the Ganja United Hospital named after Abbas Sahhat. Many of them are reported to be residents of Alıushagi village in Samux district.
