Israeli athletes established two new national records at an international athletics competition held in the city of Liège, Belgium.
Arbel Henzel set a new Israeli record in the 1500-meter run among athletes under 20 years old. He completed the distance in 3 minutes 47.60 seconds. However, the athlete fell just 0.1 seconds short of the qualifying standard for the World Youth Championships.
Another Israeli athlete, Noam Mamu, set a new Israeli record in the 400-meter run with a time of 46.78 seconds. He improved the previous record set by Eran Siboni in 2019 by 0.02 seconds.
The competition held in Liège will be remembered for Israeli athletics with two new national records.
