An anti-personnel mine explosion occurred in the Aghdara district of Azerbaijan, injuring two people, the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) reported.
The explosion took place in the village of Chardagly during humanitarian demining operations.
Employees of a non-governmental organisation were injured while performing their official duties. Surkhayli Alzami Vezir oglu, born in 1994, sustained an injury to his right leg. The second employee, Mirzayev Fizuli Rizvan oglu, born in 1998, received minor injuries.
Both victims were evacuated to the central district hospital. Doctors describe their condition as satisfactory.
