Since the start of the war this year, the number of cyberattacks carried out by Iran against Israel has sharply increased.
This was stated by Yosi Karadi, head of Israel's National Cyber Directorate, in an interview with the German newspaper "Die Welt".
According to him, approximately 1600 enemy cyber incidents were recorded during the "Lion as a People" operation in June 2025. During the "Lion's Roar" operation, which took place from February to April 2026, this figure rose to approximately 4800.
Karadi noted that the attacks targeted Israel's critical infrastructure, large organizations, small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the general public.
The head of the National Cyber Directorate emphasized that Iran's activity in cyberspace has already become a permanent element of confrontation with Israel, alongside military and diplomatic clashes.
