A framework agreement aimed at resolving the conflict between Israel and Lebanon has been prepared with the mediation of the United States.
The full text of the agreement was published by Axios.
According to the document, Lebanon has committed to restoring full state control over its territory, disarming all non-state armed groups, and ensuring that the right to use armed force belongs exclusively to the state. This framework also envisages the dismantling of Hezbollah's military infrastructure and armed capabilities.
In return, Israel agrees to gradually withdraw its troops from Lebanese territory after the implementation of agreed-upon security measures.
The project also includes the establishment of a joint coordination mechanism with US support, the launch of an international program aimed at Lebanon's reconstruction, and the coordination of Washington's financial assistance with the fulfillment of security obligations.
The parties have stated their intention to open direct dialogue channels, create working groups to draft a final peace agreement, and take steps towards normalizing relations.
In the text of the agreement, Israel and Lebanon emphasized their recognition of each other's right to exist in peace, expressing their intention to officially end decades of confrontation.
In the final part of the document, both countries thanked the US administration and President Donald Trump for their mediating role in the negotiation process.
According to reports, the parties are also discussing a pilot project for the transfer of territories with US mediation.
