The United States has conducted the first successful test of its new missile defense system (MDS), named "Golden Dome." This was announced by Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth on his X social media page.
Today, the first control test of "Golden Dome" concluded with absolute success.
According to Hegseth, the dynamic autonomous defense system demonstrated flawless operation. It successfully performed tasks of targeting, acquiring, and destroying several incoming targets.
Previously, the head of the American defense department stated that "Golden Dome" would include weapon systems deployed in space. He characterized the developing complex as a "revolutionary shield" consisting of weapons and sensors.
