U.S. President Donald Trump has declared that Iran will be held accountable if the Houthi rebels in Yemen persist in attacking Saudi Arabian ships.
D. Trump shared this statement on the "Truth Social" platform, recalling that one year ago, the U.S. conducted military operations against the Houthis in response to their attacks on international commercial vessels. According to him, following those operations, the Houthis refrained from carrying out attacks at sea for a long period.
The U.S. President stated that overnight, the Houthis targeted two ships belonging to Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that if such attacks are repeated, Washington will take severe military measures against both the Houthis and Iran, which supports them.
Official Tehran has not yet commented on Trump's statement.
