New state fees related to the registration and operation of mopeds have been approved in Azerbaijan.
Under the new regulations, fees have been established for the state registration of mopeds, technical inspections, the issuance of state registration plates, as well as the issuance of driver's licenses and associated examinations.
According to the approved fees:
- State registration of a moped – 10 manats
- Technical inspection – 15 manats
- State registration plate – 15 manats
- Issuance or replacement of a driver's license – 30 manats
- Examination for a driver's license – 40 manats
- Retake examination – 20 manats
- Issuance of a registration certificate – 30 manats
In addition, mandatory third-party liability insurance will also be applied to mopeds that have been registered.
According to the new requirements, an "A1" category driver's license, a registration certificate, and a state registration plate will be required to operate a moped.
