The Israeli military neutralized a gunman who attempted to carry out an attack against troops in the West Bank.
Jnews.az reports that the Israeli military and Israeli Border Police conducted an operation across several areas of the West Bank to prevent terrorist activity.
Israeli soldiers arrived in one area to question an armed member of a terrorist organization. Upon their arrival, the individual threw an improvised Molotov cocktail and a homemade explosive device at the troops. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Troops subsequently surrounded the building where the gunman was hiding and neutralized him.
In addition, soldiers detained four wanted individuals. They included three armed suspects involved in weapons smuggling and one person who was planning to carry out an attack in the near future.
During searches at 70 locations across the region, troops questioned approximately 60 wanted individuals and seized a grenade launcher, ammunition, and other military equipment.
