Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan is expected to visit Russia in the near future.
Jnews.az reports that Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov stated this. According to him, Pashinyan’s visit to Russia will take place this year.
Peskov noted that the visit could take place in the near future, but exact dates have not yet been determined.
It should be noted that President of Russia Vladimir Putin met with Nikol Pashinyan on September 1 within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit held in Bishkek.
During the meeting, the steps taken by Armenia towards membership in the European Union and the country’s participation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) were discussed. Putin stated that Armenia’s EU accession process could entail consequences regarding its membership in the EAEU.
