The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has published an internal report expressing serious concern regarding the current situation surrounding Iran's nuclear program. The primary cause for alarm among experts is the Iranian authorities' refusal to grant agency inspectors access to a number of facilities.
According to the document, the inability to conduct full inspections is an "urgent matter" that requires immediate attention. The agency emphasized that such restrictions hinder the fulfillment of the IAEA's mandate to monitor nuclear activity in the country.
At present, the IAEA has not received the necessary guarantees to resume inspection activities in full. The issue of access remains a key factor in relations between the agency and the Iranian side against the backdrop of the ongoing regional conflict.
