On the evening of August 31, the marquee match of the second round of the Israeli Football Championship took place at Bloomfield Stadium, where Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Maccabi Haifa with a score of 3-1.

Jnews.az reports that the scoring opened in the 14th minute when Tel Aviv midfielder Dor Peretz successfully converted a penalty.

Five minutes before the end of the first half, in the 40th minute, Peretz scored another goal to complete his brace, extending his team’s lead.

In the second half, in the 72nd minute, Osher Davida scored the third goal for the Haifa club following an assist from Dor Peretz. The visitors managed to pull one back in the 88th minute when Eitan Azulay converted a penalty, setting the final score at 3-1.

Dor Peretz leads the top scorers list

For Dor Peretz, this match continued his productive streak. He previously scored a hat-trick in the first-round game against Hapoel Jerusalem, which ended in a 5-2 victory.

Currently, Peretz has five goals in two national league matches, placing him at the top of the league’s scoring list.
