The US Navy aircraft carrier "USS Theodore Roosevelt" is scheduled to be sent to the Middle East in the coming weeks.
Jnews.az reports that CNN reported this citing US officials.
According to the report, there will be approximately 5,000 military personnel on the ship's crew. They are expected to serve at least seven months in the Middle East. However, the US Navy leadership has advised the crew to prepare for a longer service period.
US Navy Master Chief John Perriman stated that the crew was advised to plan based on an eight-month service duration.
According to information, the deployment of the "USS Theodore Roosevelt" to the Middle East will take place at a time when the operational burden of the US Navy in the region is increasing. The ship is expected to replace the "USS George Washington" aircraft carrier currently operating in the region.
