Financial results of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) for 2025 have been announced.

Jnews.az reports that according to the results of 2025, the company’s revenues increased by 1.9 percent to reach 86.3 billion manats ($50.7 billion US dollars).

Despite volatility and geopolitical tensions in global energy markets, SOCAR significantly increased its profit figures. The company’s gross profit rose by 70.5 percent to 12.61 billion manats, while operating profit grew by 80.1 percent to 5.2 billion manats.

SOCAR’s EBITDA figure also rose by 26 percent to reach 10.9 billion manats. The company’s net profit for the year was approximately 3 billion manats.

The company stated that the faster growth of profit compared to revenue is linked to cost optimization, improving operational efficiency, strengthening integration between business units, and effective management of financial resources.

SOCAR’s total assets increased by 2.3 percent to 96.85 billion manats, while shareholder equity rose by 2.6 percent to 49.9 billion manats. It was noted that during 2021–2025, the company’s shareholder equity increased 2.2 times.

At the same time, SOCAR reduced its long-term liabilities by 22.5 percent, bringing them down from 24.2 billion manats to 18.7 billion manats. This allowed for a significant reduction in the company’s long-term financial burden.

The company also expanded its asset portfolio as part of its long-term development strategy. SOCAR acquired an 80 percent stake in the «Bahar» and «Gum-Deniz» fields in Azerbaijan. Internationally, it acquired a 10 percent effective stake in the «Tamar» gas field located in the Mediterranean Sea.

In addition, the company continued investments in digital infrastructure, the petrochemical sector, and projects related to the expansion of gas exports.

SOCAR believes that the announced financial results show the successful implementation of long-term goals for increasing operational efficiency, strengthening financial sustainability, and expanding the business portfolio.
