Three strong M-class flares have been recorded in the giant sunspot numbered 4513 located in the central part of the Sun.
Jnews.az reports that, according to data from space weather observations, against the backdrop of increased activity on the Sun, the risk of geomagnetic storms and plasma flows that could affect Earth has increased in recent months.
Scientists state that if the flares occurring on the Sun are accompanied by coronal mass ejections, they could reach Earth and cause geomagnetic activity. However, further clarification is currently being conducted regarding whether these events were accompanied by a coronal mass ejection directed directly towards Earth.
