The Russian army launched a drone strike on the «Vynohradivka–Vulcăneşti» international border crossing point located on the border with Moldova in the Odesa region of Ukraine.
Jnews.az reports that the attack took place on the night of August 25. According to the Moldovan Border Police and the Ukrainian side, as a result of the strike by a «Shahed» type drone, the infrastructure of the «Vynohradivka» border crossing point located in Ukraine was damaged.
Following the incident, operations at the border crossing point were temporarily suspended, and the passage of passengers and vehicles was not carried out. Traffic was redirected to other border crossing points.
The Moldovan Border Police stated that the attack occurred near the country’s border, but the strike was carried out on the checkpoint located in Ukrainian territory. No official information has yet been released regarding casualties or injuries as a result of this attack.
It should be noted that several similar attacks have been recorded on the Moldova-Ukraine border in recent days. On August 21, as a result of a Russian drone attack, the «Tabaky» border crossing point was damaged and its operations were temporarily suspended.
