Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree awarding state honours to a number of foreign political, public, and state figures. Among them is Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration.
Jnews.az reports that Hajiyev was awarded Ukraine’s Order of Merit, 3rd class.
The official document states that the award was presented for personal contribution to the development and strengthening of inter-state cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, as well as raising Ukraine’s international standing.
