Loud explosions were heard near the seaport in the Russian city of Sochi, and smoke was observed in the area.
Jnews.az reports that according to information shared by local residents, the incident occurred in the morning hours. Some local and regional media outlets reported an attempted drone attack on Sochi. Some reports noted that unmanned surface vessels (USVs) were involved.
Sochi Mayor Andrey Proshunin stated that a drone attack threat had been announced in the city and air defense systems were operational. Later, the mayor announced that all targets threatening the city were destroyed, with no casualties reported and no damage to infrastructure facilities.
Currently, there is no official confirmation that the seaport was specifically struck or damaged. Official sources have also not confirmed whether unmanned surface vessels were involved in the incident.
