Ukraine and Russia conducted a prisoner exchange using the "160 for 160" formula.
Among those released are servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, employees of the State Special Transport Service, National Guard fighters, and border guards. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the President, they defended Mariupol and the Azovstal plant, and also fought in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy directions.
Previously, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Ukraine had returned 160 Russian servicemen, and in return, 160 servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were handed over to Ukraine.
The prisoner exchange was carried out with the mediation of the United Arab Emirates.
