The administration of US President Donald Trump is seeking $672 million for purposes related to Iran's nuclear program. This was reported by Fox News, citing its sources.
According to the report, the funds are intended for the elimination of Iranian nuclear materials, the organization of inspections and verification, as well as for the implementation of other measures aimed at preventing nuclear weapons proliferation.
The funding is planned to be directed to the US Department of Energy to "support activities that will deny Iran the ability to develop or acquire nuclear weapons."
It is noted that the requested amount is part of a larger package of additional funding totaling $80 billion, which was previously reported by American media.
