The State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads (AAYDA) has announced plans for the construction of a new transport interchange in Baku. The infrastructure project will be located at the intersection of Heydar Aliyev Avenue with Ziya Bunyadov Avenue and Abdulvahab Salamzade Street.
The main reason for implementing the project is the high density of traffic in this area. According to AAYDA, the new interchange is necessary to improve traffic flow management and ensure driver safety.
The project, currently in the design phase, involves the construction of bridges and tunnels to optimize traffic. Its implementation is expected to significantly relieve one of the capital’s busiest transport arteries.
All construction work is planned to be completed by the end of 2026.
