The Israeli national rhythmic gymnastics group team drew attention with its successful performance at the Rhythmic Gymnastics Challenge Cup held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
The team won a gold medal in the all-around competition, becoming the tournament champions, and qualified for two individual apparatus finals.
The Israeli team included gymnasts from "Hapoel Ramat-Eliyahu" (Rishon LeZion), "Maccabi Ashdod", "Maccabi Tel Aviv", "Maccabi Petah Tikva", and the Holon city club. The team was represented by Agam Gav, Arina Gvozdetski, Avigayil Shved, Taya Sokolenko, Sofia Prejin, and Keren Sobol.
The gymnasts took first place in the all-around with a total of 56.050 points. The team scored 28.150 in the five hoops routine and 27.900 in the mixed program. The Israeli athletes achieved the highest results in the qualification round, advancing to the final stage in both programs.
In the all-around competition, the German team took second place, and the Uzbekistan team finished third.
Israeli representatives also achieved successful results in individual competitions. Israeli gymnast Daniela Munits qualified for the final stage in three different events and will continue to compete for a medal.
It should be noted that the Rhythmic Gymnastics Challenge Cup is a prestigious series of international competitions included in the official calendar of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). The tournament provides leading individual gymnasts and group teams with the opportunity to earn important points for world rankings, as well as test their strength in the international arena.
