Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir held a meeting with US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Brad Cooper. Held within the framework of the Israeli military leadership's operational forum, the meeting reviewed issues of strategic cooperation between the US and Israeli armed forces.
The sides exchanged views on the future security situation, readiness for potential new military operations, and the military campaign against Iran.
During the meeting, Brad Cooper highlighted the historical importance of the strategic partnership between the US and Israeli militaries. Eyal Zamir described the close cooperation established with the US military as a "strategic anchor" for Israel. Zamir presented Cooper with a special medal for the support and partnership provided.
Addressing the current state of the Israeli military, Eyal Zamir stated that personnel are currently in a high state of combat readiness. He emphasized that should the need arise, the Israeli military is prepared to rapidly return to intensive combat operations.
The Chief of Staff also noted that the army must effectively utilize the results achieved so far and be fully prepared for possible development scenarios of the situation in the region.
The visit of US Central Command chief Brad Cooper to Israel coincides with ongoing political talks in the region.
