President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulation to President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

"Dear Emomali Sharifovich,
On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, I extend my most sincere congratulations and best wishes to you personally and, through you, to all your people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan.
Over the past thirty-five years, thanks to your wise and decisive leadership, Tajikistan has traversed a major path of development in state-building, establishing internal stability, and achieving socio-economic progress, while strengthening its influence and standing on the global stage. Tajikistan's history of independence and all its achievements are inextricably linked with your name.
It is gratifying that the friendship and brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, which reflect the will of our peoples bound by shared religious, cultural, and historical roots, are strengthening and enriching with new content day by day. Undoubtedly, active high-level dialogue, regular contacts, and our close cooperation create conditions for the further rapid development and deepening of these ties.
