On September 10, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a paper and hygiene products manufacturing facility of «Fabriora Group» Limited Liability Company (LLC) in the Garadagh district of the capital.
Jnews.az reports that Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and founder of «Fabriora Group» LLC Ibrahim Uygur informed the head of state about the facility’s operations.
It was reported that the facility will produce paper and hygiene products, including diapers, various wipes, and detergents, using raw materials and inputs sourced both locally and imported from foreign countries. Located on an area of nearly eleven hectares, the facility will apply modern and highly automated production technologies from Germany, Italy, and Türkiye.
In addition to the domestic market, products will be exported to Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Middle Eastern countries, and other states. It is planned to provide permanent employment for 240 people here.
The enterprise was privatized through an investment competition organized by the State Service for Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy. The total investment value of the project is 27 million manats.
Based on the investment promotion document, «Fabriora Group» LLC obtained 1 million manats worth of VAT and customs duty exemptions during equipment imports.
It should be noted that one of the key directions of the economic policy implemented in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev is the strengthening of industrial potential and the expansion of competitive production. One of the outcomes of the industrialization process is the formation of more sustainable production and supply chains in the country. Expanding local production creates opportunities both to meet domestic demand and reduce dependence on imports, and to increase the access of Azerbaijani products to foreign markets.
