Yesterday morning, in the Black Sea near the port of Odesa, the tugboat «TEDY», belonging to the company «Mert Marine Corporation» and sailing under the Somali flag, was subjected to a drone attack.
Jnews.az reports that at the time of the incident, there was a crew of 10 people on board the ship. Four of the crew members are citizens of Azerbaijan, three of Turkey, two of Germany, and one of Ukraine.
It was noted that after the attack, as the ship was moving towards the port of Constanța during the night, it was subjected to two more drone attacks.
As a result of these attacks, two Azerbaijani citizens — sailors Aslan Aliyev and Asim Gasimov — were killed.
It is reported that the other two Azerbaijani sailors were injured and hospitalized in the city of Odesa. Their treatment is currently ongoing.
