Two freight trains collided on a bridge during early morning hours in Munich, Germany, leaving one person dead.
According to information provided by the local police department, two wagons from the trains derailed during the accident and fell off the bridge. An investigation into the causes of the incident is ongoing.
Mobilisation of rescue teams
A fire service spokesperson stated that approximately 60 rescuers and other emergency personnel were deployed to the scene. Large-scale work is underway to eliminate the consequences of the accident.
