Israel’s El Al airline has been forced to cancel the launch of planned direct flights between Tel Aviv and Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi.
The decision was made after Israel’s General Security Service (Shin Bet) refused to grant the necessary security clearances for operating flights on the new route.
According to airline management, El Al had previously submitted an official request to the country’s security service to operate flights on the new route. However, after reviewing the application, the airline was informed that the documents required to start the flights could not be provided.
