During the first seven months of this year, 518 indicators of compromise (IOC) linked to cyberattacks on the country's government institutions were recorded in Azerbaijan, according to the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security.

The overall detection rate of cyber threats decreased by 9.6% compared to the same period in 2025. Of all threats detected during this period, 337 were identified and blocked as a result of internal investigations by the special service.

An additional 190 indicators of compromise were identified by specialists during investigations of cyber incidents reported by government entities themselves.

Separately, 61 cyberattacks on government bodies were detected in July of this year alone. This represents an 11.6% decrease compared to July of last year.

Throughout 2025, a total of 850 cyberattacks were carried out against Azerbaijani government institutions. Of these, 372 were detected and thwarted in a timely manner thanks to internal investigations, while 478 were identified following reports from the agencies themselves.
