In Israel, the Likud party has approved the allocation of special spots on the electoral list for Israel Katz and Gideon Sa’ar. At the same time, the decision regarding reserving a spot for Haim Katz has been postponed.
The decision made has caused open dissatisfaction within the party’s faction. Likud Knesset member Tally Gotliv stated that she did not understand this move.
Note that Likud is the ruling political party led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The positions candidates hold on the electoral list within the party are of great importance both for the political future of the lawmakers and for the composition of the party in future Knesset elections.
