Israeli startup Decart, which specializes in developing artificial intelligence models for real-time video processing, has suspended acquisition talks with US corporation Nvidia. Currently, the startup is holding consultations with a new, larger international investor.
The estimated value of the deal being prepared is $6–7 billion. Exact details regarding who the buyer will be have not been officially disclosed. However, Elon Musk’s SpaceX is named among the most likely contenders.
Alongside SpaceX, Amazon Corporation and Arkady Volozh’s Nebius company are also listed as potential buyers for the Israeli developer.
Decart is considered one of the most promising projects in the field of artificial intelligence. Over the three years of its existence, the startup has managed to attract $450 million in investment.
Previously, Nvidia Corporation had already invested in Decart. Nvidia’s investment increased the valuation of the Israeli «unicorn» to $1.4 billion.
