Israeli airline Israir has announced the opening of a new regular route connecting Tel Aviv and Madrid. The inaugural flight on this route is scheduled for October 25.

Flights to the Spanish capital will operate three times a week—on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays. Round-trip ticket prices start at $340 per person.

The airline noted that the launch of flights to Madrid is part of its route network expansion program. The decision comes amid growing demand for European destinations.

Earlier, Israir reported plans to begin flights to New York using Airbus A330 aircraft and announced the resumption of direct flights to Marrakech, Morocco.

The expansion of the flight program comes at a time when Israel is increasing its passenger quotas for flights departing to Europe.
