Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has postponed his planned visit to the United States.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office, the decision was made in connection with a change in the date of the funeral of US Senator Lindsey Graham.
Netanyahu had previously planned to travel to Washington next week, intending both to attend the senator's funeral and to meet with US President Donald Trump.
According to the statement, the visit has been rescheduled to the end of July. While a meeting with Donald Trump is expected to take place during the Prime Minister's US trip, the exact date of the meeting has not yet been officially confirmed.
The anticipated meeting is expected to cover the latest situation in the Middle East, regional security issues, and the prospects for US-Israel cooperation.
