A fire has started at the Imam Reza religious-memorial complex in Mashhad, Iran, where former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei is buried.
According to information released by the Tasnim news agency, the fire began in one of the complex's buildings under construction.
At the time of the incident, workers were carrying out bitumen processing work. The fire resulted in heavy smoke, which covered part of the visitor complex.
Emergency service personnel who arrived at the scene prevented the fire from spreading to surrounding areas. The fire has now been fully extinguished.
The causes of the fire are under investigation.
