President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received on July 8 the Deputy Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Al-Safadi.
The guest conveyed the greetings and invitation to Jordan from Jordan's King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein to the head of our state, noting that the King of Jordan attaches great importance to personal relations with Azerbaijan's President.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings and requested that his greetings be conveyed to the King of Jordan.
The President of Azerbaijan, in turn, invited the King of Jordan to visit our country.
The head of our state recalled with satisfaction his meetings with King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein in Azerbaijan, Jordan, and within the framework of international events.
During the conversation, it was emphasized that mutual visits and contacts at various levels play an important role in developing relations between our countries, and it was noted that our relations are based on the principles of friendship and brotherhood.
It was stated that there are good opportunities for strengthening cooperation in political, economic, energy, connectivity, investment, humanitarian and other fields, and an exchange of views was held on regional issues, future contacts, expanding the activities of the intergovernmental commission, and inter-parliamentary cooperation.
Touching on cooperation in the tourism sector, the issue of opening direct regular air routes between Azerbaijan and Jordan was discussed in this regard.
