Anomalous hot weather conditions continue in France. Amidst intense heat, approximately 3,000 people have sought medical attention at hospitals in Paris and the Île-de-France region within the last 24 hours, which is 36% higher than the usual figures.

The highest 'red' alert level has been declared in 37 regions of the country, including Paris. According to meteorologists' forecasts, temperatures in some areas could reach 42°C.

To combat the effects of the heat, French authorities are implementing urgent measures. The Ministry of Health has allocated 100 million euros to equip hospitals with cooling systems. Additionally, an order has been issued for the purchase of 30,000 air conditioners for medical facilities.

Extreme heat has also affected the transportation system. The Paris-Nice train was forced to stop in a tunnel for over an hour due to a technical malfunction. As a result of non-functioning air conditioning systems, some passengers felt unwell.

The unusual weather conditions in the country have also impacted educational institutions. At one high school, students had to take their oral exams outdoors in a parking lot instead of remaining in the excessively hot building.

According to reports, approximately 70,000 homes in France have been left without electricity due to the intense heat.

Due to the anomalous heatwave sweeping across Europe, at least 18 people are reported to have died in France so far.

It should be noted that the French authorities have declared the highest meteorological alert level in several regions of the country in connection with the anomalous heatwave.
