The United States has removed seven Russian citizens, two cargo ships, and two Turkish companies from its sanctions list. This decision was reflected in a notice issued by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
According to the document, restrictions imposed on a group of Russian citizens associated with the banking and corporate sectors have been lifted.
Additionally, the multipurpose dry cargo ships named "Gennadiy Egorov" and "Vyacheslav Arfinov," linked to Russia's State Transport Leasing Company, have also been freed from sanctions.
Restrictions have also been lifted for two Turkish companies: IDA Asansor, an elevator manufacturer, and DEIN DANISMANLIK PAZARLAMA VE TICARET ANONIM SIRKETI. They were previously accused of evading sanctions and supplying goods to Russia's defense industry.
The U.S. side has not provided any additional information regarding the reasons for the decision to lift the sanctions.
