The 17th annual FreshPaint Contemporary Art and Design Fair ("FreshPaint 2026") opened to the public in Tel Aviv on June 24. The event, located in the old technical center on Kremenetcki Street, will run until June 29 inclusive.
The fair is aimed at collectors, art connoisseurs, and anyone interested in the current Israeli art scene. The project is organized jointly with the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality, with main sponsorship from Harel Insurance & Finance Group and Zurich Insurance.
Annually, the event attracts about 40,000 visitors. The initiator and organizer of the fair is a female curatorial collective, which includes project founder Sharon Tillinger, CEO Manor Gra, and co-founder, artistic director, and chief curator Ifat Gurion.
The exhibition is divided into several zones. The "Hamama" incubator presents works by 47 young artists beginning their professional journey. In the "Fresh Design" section, visitors can explore contemporary Israeli object design, furniture, and ceramics, while the art zone features gallery projects and special curatorial projects.
A special place in the program is occupied by the charity project "Secret Postcard." Within its framework, over 1,500 small original works are sold anonymously at a single price. The author's name becomes known to the buyer only after purchase. In 2026, all collected funds will be directed to help children orphaned after the events of October 7.
The organizers also note that with each passing year, more repatriates from various countries participate in the fair, including those who have recently arrived in Israel.
