The Lebanese army has entered the village of Zawtar al-Gharbiyeh in the country's south as part of the implementation of the framework agreement signed with Israel.
Al Jazeera reports that military units have begun demining operations in the village area. In this regard, the Lebanese army has called on citizens not to travel to the area until the security situation is fully stabilized.
According to the information, Zawtar al-Gharbiyeh was selected as one of the first six "pilot zones" where Israeli troops will be withdrawn and replaced by the Lebanese army.
This process is being carried out within the framework of the phased implementation of the agreement reached between Israel and Lebanon with the mediation of the United States.
