On the night of Monday, September 7, Hezbollah militants attempted to attack Israeli soldiers operating near the Ali al-Tahir ridge in the security zone of Southern Lebanon. Two strike drones were launched toward IDF units. No Israeli soldiers were injured in the incident.
Jnews.az reports that in response to this attack attempt, the IDF conducted a series of strikes on Hezbollah facilities in various areas of Southern Lebanon. Specifically, an arms depot belonging to the group was destroyed. Additionally, the Israeli Air Force attacked a group of militants spotted transporting weapons in the Kfar Roummane area.
The military department emphasized that measures were taken to minimize risks to civilians before the operations, including the use of precision-guided munitions and aerial surveillance. At present, the command is verifying reports of possible civilian casualties in the strike zones.
Earlier on Sunday, following a similar launch of strike drones, the Israeli military conducted an operation in the Nabatieh area. According to the army’s statement, several Hezbollah militants were eliminated during those strikes.
The current events are taking place against the backdrop of the ongoing 1067th day of the war, during which the IDF is conducting operations in Lebanon, the Gaza Strip, as well as in Judea and Samaria.
